Oh, High, Oh!!

After leaving the Niagara Falls area, we drove all afternoon and into the evening to make it almost to Columbus, Ohio.   Our next planned stop was Cincinnati where we had several things we wanted to check off our list.

Arriving in downtown Cincy around lunch time on Friday, we stopped for lunch at a place called Fusian.  Months ago I (Donna) went to a conference in Cincinnati and discovered this restaurant.  Basically, it's a walk through, design your own sushi kind of place.  They even have a PB&J roll for the Franceys in everyone's family and "steak sushi" for the bottomless pit adolescent boys who require the most filling of foods.

After Runcie shoved the camera in my face, I jokingly made this face.  Wanting me to add this pic, he laughed and said, I want people to see what I have to deal with day in and day out.   Ha ha. (Still wondering how long I will leave this one up  ;)  )

With full bellies, we piled back in the van.  Only a few miles down the road, Gigi piped up, "Hey - I'm hungry... Can we get some ice cream now?"   - seriously??   No.   On a tight schedule, we wanted to get to our next destination, The Creation Museum.

The last time we visited this museum was seven years ago.  It's amazing how much it had grown since then.  While we were there we enjoyed lots of exhibits that spanned the history of the Bible.  In addition to that, there were lots of animal exhibits.   It's safe to say one of the most memorable ones was the Insectaurium - crazy how big these bugs can be!!

After a couple of hours of romping around the Creation Museum, we were back in the van headed back to downtown Cincinnati as we had one last thing to check off our list:  The Cincinnati Reds Baseball Game.  Even though I rarely sit down to watch a baseball game at home, I love going to the ball park!!   Doing the wave, eating (and spilling) peanuts, singing "Take Me out to the Ball Game," and answering the ball park organ with "Charge!!" my baseball appetite was satisfied.  Seven innings later we ambled across the foot bridge over the Ohio River and loaded back into the van.  Louisville was next up on our agenda.
